Market Information Centre
The Market Information Centre (CIR) was founded in 1991. The goal of Centre's activities is initiating and supporting export and investment capacities of Polish economic entities, mainly small and medium-sized, through carrying out for them information activities The Centre specialises in searching and working out information on the access to foreign markets and terms and conditions of operation in those markets. The goals being achieved by CIR include: • carrying out information activities for Polish economic entities, mainly SMEs, in the field of trade, services and investment; • promotion of Poland in the world; • monitoring of activity of Polish enterprises in foreign markets. The CIR activities in the field of business information comprise: • meritorious source information processing; • creation of monographic elaborations concerning selected commodity markets, containing, among other things, information on business conditions, location information on new sales opportunities (tenders, new markets) and on competitiveness of Polish goods and services; • working out and publication of directories on Poland and major foreign markets; • preparation of publications concerning the subject matters of economic cooperation with foreign countries and investment activity of Polish business entities in the EU market and in third countries. CIR provides its work to the users in the form of: • publications: books, directories, newsletters; • electronic carriers: e-platforms accessible via Internet, CD-ROM.
