Service Market Unit
The scope of activities undertaken in the Unit: • carrying out scientific and research work; • carrying out expertises and opinions; • popularisation of results of research and analyses (publishing and providing interviews); • consultancy for regulative institutions; • consultancy for other scientific and research centres and high schools. The specific research problems worked out by the Unit employees include: • impact of the service sector on the process of socioeconomic development; • regulative determinants of development of the service sector and effects thereof; • evaluation of the condition, directions of development and competitiveness of the service sector; • processes of concentration and integration in the service sector, with a particular consideration of the trade sphere; • franchising as a form of cooperation of service providing companies; • changes taking place in the subject structure of service branches, also in the territorial profile; • cause and effect analysis of phenomena occurring in the selected service markets; • internationalisation of service companies; • share of trade and service enterprises in development of local markets; • marketing tools and activities at trade and service enterprises; • changes in channels of distribution of consumer goods and services.
