The Unit carries out scientific and research work in the field of: • differences and changes in consumption and its determinants in the macro- and microeconomic scale (in the regional profile, in various groups of households, etc.); • comparisons of consumption and its determinants in Poland and the European Union countries; • analyses of consumption as a factor of growth of innovativeness in the economy; • analyses of the living standards and conditions of various groups of households; • analyses of the consumers' purchasing attitudes, behaviour and preferences; • multidimensional analyses leading to separation of market segments and consumer types; • analyses of the young consumer market; • recognition of the globalisation phenomena in the selected market segments; • consumer rights and interests protection; • psychological aspects of advertising and other forms of promotion; • analyses of the branch markets; • working out methods of market research.
