National and Export Business Cycles Unit

The Unit carries out scientific and research work in the following areas:
• analysis of domestic barriers to development of Polish exports;
• monitoring of the economic and financial condition of the export sector;
• survey-based analysis of export activities carried out by processing industry enterprises;
• barriers to activities carried out by businesses with foreign capital;
• forecasts of development of the economy and foreign trade of Poland;
• problems of Poland's economy's external equilibrium and its foreign indebtedness;
• currency exchange policy and enterprises' reactions to exchange rate changes;
• changes of economic structure of Polish exports and factors determining them;
• monitoring of the economic and financial condition of small and medium-sized enterprises;
• coordination of the Institute's work within the framework of the Association of European Conjuncture Institutes, AIECE.
