Beside general information (climate, population and language, political system) it deals with such matters as: main directions of system reforms, privatization, Poland’s place in the world, external evaluations of Polish economy, directions and targets of foreign economic policy, membership in international organizations and regional groups, Poland’s integration with the European Union, resources and infrastructure, main branches of economy, conditions for conducting economic activity in Poland (legal basis, permissions for economic activity and licences, ownership and lease of land, protection of industrial and intellectual property, labour relations, taxation system, Special Economic Zones, environmental protection requirements, courts and arbitration), foreign trade conditions, as well as terms and conditions for activity of foreign investors (taxes, ownership of land and real estate). It also provides practical information (visas, conditions for employment of foreigners, etc.)
